Disposable camera photos The Hague hotspots Out of the blue

The day i learn to fly i'm never coming down

Thursday, 30 August 2012

My last outfit from Italy! I'm sorry for not keeping my blog up-to-date lately. It's just that i'm rarely at home and when i'm here it's only for sleeping/eating. There are just sooo many amazing parties and i'm doing a lot of fun things with friends! Really; this is the best holiday i've ever had! But therefor i'm not really active on blogger and i'm truly sorry for that. School is starting again next week, so than this blog will (hopefully) be back on track again :)

I don't think i had told you yet that i have contact lenses, right? Well, than you know it now! And of course (stupid as i am) i left them in a hotel in Switzerland, but because my eyesight is quite regular i was able to buy some new in Italy. Thank god! Otherwise i couldn't wear sunglasses ór see sharp.
And i'm still very happy with my lenses! Also wearing glasses very often, but going out or talking to nice boys always made my glasses foggy which was kinda annoying haha.

Lowlands

Wednesday, 22 August 2012

A short break from my italy-posts, cause i want to show you the lowlands photos first!
Oh it was so amazing. I never had such a wonderful weekend! Spontaneous parties on the street, water balloon fights on the toilets, swimming at 4 am, amazing new friends, a lót of fun, wonderful parties and music. I just want to be there all year long! (well, maybe that wouldn't be very good for my health ;)
I still can't believe i did all these crazy things and saw all the musicians. Think: the black keys, blaudzun, bloc party, ben howard, the whitest boy alive, james vincent mcmorrow, kasabian, the shins, foo fighters and i can go on. It was to good to be true and i'm completely sure i'll be there again next year!

There will probably be another post with photos from disposable cameras from friends, maybe you'll see me on these photos too. I've got like 3 photos were i'm on but with such a weird face that i'll spare you these ;)

Italian family

Tuesday, 14 August 2012

"We're having dinner, in the garden. At the long table. We're talking about my uncle's favorite dressing. Than my brother tells a story about a train robbery in the north. My grandma starts laughing, she sings a traditional song. It means so much to me, to be with my italian family." -Schradinova
This song perfectly describes the evening we had in tuscany when we were invited by the apartment-owners to their dinner with the other holidaymakers. A wonderful evening with spaghetti, meat (well, not for me since i'm a vegetarian), bread, cake, wine and of course: the family itself.

Sheer, asymmetric, maxi

This is probably the first time you see me wearing my hair in a bun. And it will probably be the last ;)
I hate wearing it like this, but it was just way to hot in italy to wear it like i normally do.

Florence

Tuesday, 7 August 2012

Last week was so strange and crazy. There were tears of happiness and grief. I've done a lot of fun things, but there also were some terrible things. Sometimes everything is just so confusing. This also explains my absence on blogger, and i hope it will be better this week, but i'm not totally sure yet. Just need to think about some things.
The photos in this post were made in Florence. It's such a beautiful city and if you happen to be around, be sure to visit it! There's so much to see and so much to do, that one day is way to short to see it all. That's why we didn't enter any museum, but only walked around and gasped at the beautiful buildings. It's hard to capture all this on camera, but i hope you'll get a small impression of everything.

All in all it's just another brick in the wall

One of my favorite things about italy is the amazing weather. Always warm, nice and sunny. In holland the weather is really unpredictable (this morning the sun was shining, now it's raining), but you can always wear shorts or skirts in italy. Maybe it's boring for the italian people, but i love it :)
These photos were made at our apartment, not with my SLR but with a 'normal' camera, so the quality is not as good as usual.

Back from Italy

Wednesday, 1 August 2012

I came back from italy this saturday! And i had a great time. Me and my family stayed in Tuscany the first week, and the next week in Piedmont (that's a bit more in the north, near Turin).
Eating ice-creams everyday, loads of pizza and pasta, great weather, sweet grandpas and a beautiful view; what do you want more?!

all these photos were made in Sienna
