On the third day of fashion week i attended the shows of Schueller de Waal, Barbara Langedijk and Tony Cohen. I had already been to shows of Tony before, but the others were a total surprise to me. Especially Barbara Langendijk got my interest with her use of authentic Japanse crafts and knotting.
Amsterdam Fashion Week day 2
Monday, 26 January 2015
Unfortunately i was unable to go to the first day of fashion week, but the second day sure made up for it! I had the best time with Joy, and was amazed by Bas Kosters his show. It's wonderful to see that he creates a whole little world instead of 'just' a fashion show. And then i'm not even talking about the clothes! I absolutely LOVED it. The show of INKNI was pretty nice as well, with the great masks as an extra detail. Well enough talking, here are the photos!

After fridays presentation day i took the weekend off, doing nothing. Well, nothing... On saturday i went to Groningen to see a couple of bands which was a lot of fun, and after that i had a party in my old home town with friends. The day after i went to my grandparents after sleeping way too long haha. My grandpa took some photos of me as well, and apparently one of them is almost the same as the photo he took of my grandma years ago; how cool! You can check it on my instagram here.

At the moment i'm super busy preparing my presentation for friday, so there's not time to talk! Luckily i do have some images to share from my latest activities.
500th post!
Friday, 9 January 2015
The day that i wrote my first blogpost feels like yesterday, while it's actually more then 4 years ago. I can't believe that time went by so fast! Honestly i never expected to keep it up for so long, but as i continued blogging it began to get more and more fun. Cheers to that!
(Ps. don't be frightened by my blue hands, it's a weird habit of my body when it's cold outside ;)

Discovered: Jean-François Lepage
Monday, 5 January 2015
Today i'd like to show you a photographer i discovered, called Jean-François Lepage. He's a french artist who has spent his career darting between painting and photography. After he has done a shoot (fun fact: everything but the location is improvised) compass points, a cutter to cut and a stapler to join the pieces are used. The post-production part of Lepage's work process becomes a second period of creation, which is rather tricky of course. Jean-François about this: "It can be risky and that's what like about it: tampering with an image that is considered finished when shot to purposefully reconstruct it, with the permanent risk of destroying it altogether." Genius if you ask me.
2014 in photos
Friday, 2 January 2015
2014 is the year i graduated, moved out, saw my friends in london again, said goodbye + hello to people, and did a lot of stupid and fun things. I sat front row at fashion week, had my first editorial printed in a magazine and made way too many blueberry pies.
I couldn't be more grateful for all the opportunities i got, and for YOUR support. 2014 has also been a year with lots of downs for me and my health. Even though i could not always update regularly most of you have stayed here. Wished me the best. Gave me sweet compliments and courage to go on. And that truly means the world to me! Hopefully 2015 will bring you things you wouldn't even dare to dream of, and a lot of moments to be grateful for. Happy new year!
